If you have ever thought of keeping poultry or if you already do and just want to expand your knowledge, this is the course for you. Led by resident expert Hannah Booth, the course covers a range of aspects of care, from housing and feeding, to the buying, breeding and showing of adult poultry. You will also expand your knowledge on the incubation of eggs and the rearing of chicks. This event must be pre-booked.

Would you like to find out what it is all about? Do you think it might be interesting to keep bees, but don’t know what is involved, or how to get started? Our Beekeeping Taster Day will give you an overview of the craft of beekeeping, starting with a presentation about honeybees in the schoolroom, followed by practical demonstration at the apiary where we will open a hive and take a close look inside. Be Amazed by Science.....at Tatton Park!
From Monday 29 May 2017 to Friday 2 June 2017
Be Amazed by Science at Tatton Park and discover the secrets of science and technology in the Mansion, Gardens and Farm this May half term. Participate in spotting trails around the Mansion and Gardens and then visit the Farm for a different workshop every day, including sessions on cheese making, animal diets and farm machinery.
Trails available during Mansion and Garden opening hours, Farm activities scheduled for 2.00pm.
