Be Amazed by Tatton Park!

From Monday 29 May 2017 to Friday 2 June 2017

Be Amazed by Science at Tatton Park and discover the secrets of science and technology in the Mansion, Gardens and Farm this May half term. Participate in spotting trails around the Mansion and Gardens and then visit the Farm for a different workshop every day, including sessions on cheese making, animal diets and farm machinery. Trails available during Mansion and Garden opening hours, Farm activities scheduled for 2.00pm. Farm Activity Timetable: Tuesday 30th May – Diets and Digestion Wednesday 31st May – Challenge the Root Chopper Thursday 1st June – Weights and Measures Friday 2nd June – The Science of Butter & Cheese Making PLEASE NOTE THAT ACTIVITIES ARE FREE, BUT YOU WILL STILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY PARK AND ATTRACTION

Cycling Boredom Busters

On Tuesday 30 May 2017

Fundamentals of off-road skills, exploring ‘out of bounds’ farmland trails and woodland single-track. Medals and certificates for special achievements will be awarded at the finish. A basic bike safety check is included for each child. Please bring a packed lunch. Own bike and cycling helmet is compulsory. Minimum age: 8 years old. Adult accompaniment during the session is not required, but provision of an emergency contact number is essential. This event must be pre-booked.

Old Hall

'Inside Tatton's Hidden Gem'

On Wednesday 31 May 2017

DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AN ALTERNATIVE DATE IS AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER. Be inspired by the atmospheric surroundings of Tatton Old Hall, in this unique creative writing experience. The day will be led by talented former Cheshire poet laureate, Joy Winkler and will also include a guided tour around the site by a member of the Tatton Old Hall team. Joy describes this course as “a unique opportunity to learn more about the Hall, to absorb its history and then take that forward to inspire our writing.” A complimentary notebook and pen is provided for each participant. This event must be pre-booked.
